Bobcat Commits

Radford Bobcat football quarterback Landen Clark has committed to attend Elon University. He said,” I feel like this is the right place for me.” Clark has helped lead the Bobcats to a 10-0 regular season.

 

Notice: On a sad note former Pennington Gap High School basketball star Steve Marsee has passed away. Marsee was the leading scorer in VHSL basketball for years and years.  He scored 2,459 points from 1973-76, long before the three-point line was in play. He held that record until 1992 when then Laurel Park big man Odell Hodge broke it. Marsee is still after all these years, seventh (7) on the all-time scoring list. Tyler Nickel, Mac McClung, Caleb Tanner, Stacy Ervin, and Andrew Rowsey are the others who scored more than Marsee. RIP Steve Marsee…

Bobcats have new coach, Carroll Co. player commits

RSN has learned that Ben Fisher will be the new boy’s basketball coach at Radford High School. He had been an assistant under former Radford coach Rick Cormany. Carroll Co. girls basketball player Alyssa Ervin has committed to Elon University to further her academic and sports career. She was the Class 3 girls’ player of the year last season, She helped lead the Lady Cavaliers to a state championship in March. They had a record of 28-1, and Ervin scored around 20 points per game, 3.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game.
