With one week remaining in the high school regular season , the VHSL playoffs are still clouded. This is the way it looks as of Saturday Oct.28th.

Group 1C – Galax, Narrows, Geo. Wythe, Covington, Parry McCluer and Auburn have clinched spots. The other two spots are between Bland Co., Rural Retreat and Eastern Montgomery.

Group 1D – Chilhowie, Patrick Henry-Glade Spring, Grundy, Thomas Walker are in. The other four spots are between Eastside, Hurley, JI Burton, Castlewood, Honaker and Northwood.

Group 2C – Appomattox, Glenvar, Giles, Floyd Co., Gretna, Fort Chiswell, Martinsville and Dan River are in with seedings still up in the air.

Group 2D – Ridgeview, Union, Graham, Va. High, Marion and John Battle are in. Richlands , Grayson Co, Lee High and Tazewell still in the running for last two spots.

Group 3D – Staunton River, Lord Botetourt, Magna Vista, Northside, Abingdon are in. Alleghany, Cave Spring and Tunstall are in position for the last three spots.

Group 4D- Blacksburg, EC Glass, GW- Danville, Salem are in. The other spots are between Amherst, Wm Byrd, Charlottesville, LCA, Jefferson Forest and Pulaski Co. Only eight(8) will go.
