Christiansburg lost both their girls and boys hoop coaches from this past season. The girls new coach is Joe Hutson. He from West Virginia and this is his first head coaching job. He has coached AAU girls and boys. The Blue Demons new head basketball man is Mike Hunter. He played three sports at Alleghany and graduated from Ferrum. He played at Alleghany back in the 90’s.He was Christiansburg but left for Eastern Montgomery in 2008 to be the girls had coach for three years. He is a special education teacher at Christiansburg, He replaces Shawn Good who went to Roanoke Catholic to be head coach. Hutson replaces Darius Kelly and currently works at Va. Tech , He attended Campbell and Radford University’s. He is from Charleston and attended Nitro High School.
