Radford halts losing streak

Radford Bobcats stopped a three game losing streak as they defeated the Carroll Co. Cavaliers 24-7. Freshman quarterback Zane Rupe completed 10 of 20 passes for 138 yards and threw two touchdowns. Freshman P J Prioleau had 67 yards on 10 carries and he also caught six passes for 76 for a touchdown. Sophomore Chris Carter also scored on a 47 reception from Rupe and finished with three receptions for 65 yards.

Radford (2-7) got on the scoreboard with 6:45 to go in the first quarter on a Rupe to Carter pass. Carroll Co. tied the game on a Logan Trudell three yard run, but the Bobcats would take a 14-7 lead into intermission as Prioleau caught an eight yard pass. They would then get a 40 yard field goal from Conner Lytton to up the margin to 17-7 with 6:16 to go in the game. Safety Jaylin Taylor would ice the contest with a 67 yard touchdwon interception return for the 24-7 victory.
