Craig Co. High School will NOT field a varsity or junior varsity baseball team for this spring season. They had lost many seniors off of last year’s playoff team that made Region 1C post-season. They had less than seven players that had an interest in playing this spring.

Due to uncertain weather, VHSL has made some changes to the baseball schedules. Class 1 & Class 2 will now start at 9:00 am on Friday morning, June 7. Class 1 at Calfee and Class 2 at Rad. Univ. The second games at both places will now start at approximately 11:30 am.

Class 1 baseball championship ( Sat. June 8) will now be held at Calfee Park Saturday morning, starting a 9:00 am.

Class 2 baseball championship (Sat. June 8) will still be at Rad. Univ but will start at 9:00 am.

The Graham at Radford state semifinal football game has been moved to Salem Stadium. This is and was a VHSL move. Game time remains 2:00 pm.

The Galax @ Chilhowie has also been moved. The game will be played at Emory & Henry. 1:30 game time is the same.

The Galax vs Chilhowie game site has been changed, again. The game will now take place at Northwood High School.

The Fort Chiswell Pioneers will have the same familiar faces on the sidelines but in new roles. Head Coach Todd Tiller will take over the offense and call plays. Assistant coaches James Whitlock and Doc Meredith will now run the defense. Coach Tiller has been his own defensive coordinator up to now. Coach Whitlock has been offense and defensive line coach and Meredith was offensive coordinator last year.
