The Fort Chiswell Pioneers have a new assistant football coach and it’s David Meredith . Meredith better know as “Murdock” or “Doc ” was an assistant at Bland Co. last year and was at Radford High School in 2015. While there he helped coach the defensive line under head coach Matthew Saunders. “Doc” has also been an assistant at Carroll Co. and Grayson Co. The Pioneers had lost their offensive coordinator Seth Padgett who has taken a head coaching job in California. Fort Chiswell head coach Todd Tiller remarked, ” Doc has come on board for next year to help us. His job title at this time hasn’t been decided . He brings lots of experience to our staff and we may bring in another assistant later.”
