Former Pioneer to sign

Fort Chiswell Pioneers former football lineman Jordan Crockett will sign to play football for Norfolk State. Crockett played for the Pioneers under then head coach Stephen James, and his senior year he played for former head coach Tom Hale. Jordan played this past semester at Fork Union and was being recruited by the Virginia Cavaliers and their former head coach Mike London. When London stepped down a couple weeks ago, his recruiting opened up even more. Jordan, a 6-4, 300 lb. offensive and defensive lineman for Fort Chiswell, helped them to a state semifinal game his junior year as he played with now Tennessee player Coleman Thomas. Jordan will be used either on offensive or defensive line for Norfolk State. He will be on full scholarship for the Spartans. The Spartans are coached by Latrell Scott. They play in the MId-Eastern Athletic Conference. Known as the MEAC, the Spartans finished this past season with a 4-7 record overall and 4-4 in the conference. Congrats Jordan !!
