The Galax Maroon Tide have hired a new boys basketball coach. He is very familiar with all the Galax people. The new coach is Mark Dixon. Dixon is the football head coach and had been the junior varsity coach and varsity assistant to the now retired Verl Brown. Coach Dixon will remain football head coach as well.
