Pulaski Co. defeats Christiansburg

Playing their third game in four days the Cougar boys basketball team beat the Blue Demons 60-45. CC Grubb led them with 20 points and Isaac Poe had 11.

Christiansburg had only one player in double figures as Alec Anderson came off the bench to knock down 16 points.

It was a workmanlike effort by the Cougars (10-4) as they led 29-23 at intermission. They stretched that out to 44-32 after three quarters. Eight Cougars got into the scoring column and all 10 that dressed played. Cougar head coach Andrew Hart remarked ,” We took care of business tonight is what I call it. I thought we protected the ball well and defended that way also.” He then added,”We got contributions from everyone and glad we got a road win.”

The Cougars get back into action next Tuesday in the Cougar Den. They will host the Salem Spartans with junior varsity action tipping at 5:30 and varsity twenty minutes after the JV contest.
