Bobcats pummels Bruins

The Radford Bobcats stomped the Blacksburg Bruins 61-31 in a game played at Floyd Co. High School in the Chance Harman Classic. Center Blake Burdack tallied 14 points and he got help from Heth Grant and Isiah Morton both scoring 10. Freshman Quinton Morton-Richardson chipped in with nine.

Blacksburg (2-6) was led by Hank Skutt with 11 points and J.Rob Hudson scored eight. The Bruins second quarter proved their undoing ,with Radford outscoring them 26-13 . The cold shooting continued the entire second half for them as well as they only could muster 11 points, five in the third and six in the fourth.

Radford’s quickness was to much for the Bruins on the defensive side. Ten Bobcat players were in the scoring catalog . They outscored the Bruins 26-11in the second half to put the game away. Radford improved to 6-1 on the season and will play Martinsvillle Monday night January 4 at Radford. The Bulldogs of Martinsville are the only team to beat Radford so far this season. Tip for the junior varsity contest will be 5:30 and the varsity will tip at 7pm.
