Cougars fall to Hidden Valley

Pulaski Co. didn’t make the big play or get the big shot the last four minutes as they lost their home game 43-40 to Hidden Valley Titans. Hidden Valley got 11 points from Andrew Duncan and 10 from Grayson Carroll in the win.

The Cougars (2-3) was led by senior Benjamin Poe with 10 points and Dillon Porter had nine. Poe scored eight of his points in the second half and Porter knocked in all of his in the second half. Tied at 37 the Cougars turned the ball over three straight possessions and finally, Carroll hit an one and one to put the Titans up 43-40. The Cougars didn’t get a good shot off at the end of the game as the buzzer sounded. The Titans had taken a close one from the Cougars in the Cougar Den.

” We didn’t make plays late in the game and turned the ball over down the stretch,” said Cougar head coach Andrew Hart. ” We dug ourselves into a hole there in the second quarter, nine turnovers and scored just six points.”

The Cougar JV( 3-2) pounded the Titans 52-28 as Ethan Gallimore lead them in scoring, with 13. The Cougars will travel to Blacksburg Thursday to take on the Bruins. JV starts at 5:30 and varsity at 7:00 pm.
