Cougars pounded by Patriots

Pulaski Co. boys traveled to Roanoke to take on the Patriots of Patrick Henry and got pounded 75-40. The Patriot (7-0) jumped on the Cougars early and fast as they took a 21-10 lead in the first quarter. They would then be up 39-19 at halftime on their way to a route.

The Patriots got 26 points from John Stockstill as he hit six three’s and Patrick hit 11 for the game. Jalen Cook scored 14 and Devon Russell chipped in with 12. They dressed 10 players and nine of them scored.

Pulaski Co. (1-2) was led by Dillon Porter with 15 points. Gage Mannon had six and Hayden Gray came off the bench to score five.” We just not ready to face a talented team as good as Patrick Henry is, said Cougar head coach Andrew Hart. ” We have had only one practice in over a week due to the weather. We need to take on adversity and handle it better than we did tonight. Our effort was very inconsistent and we need to have more fire, no matter whom we are facing. ”
