NRV Tigers 17U baseball player commits

The New River Valley Tigers 17 U travel baseball team player Caleb Franklin has committed to Averett University in Danville, Virginia. Franklin played second base for the Tigers this summer. Caleb hit at a .363 batting clip and had a .522 on base percentage. He also finished with a .963 fielding percentage and had 79 chances. He scored 29 runs and drew 24 walks. Head coach Todd Davis of the NRV Tigers said,” Caleb had a heck of a year at second base. He was as good a defensive player we had this year.” Caleb is a senior and plays for Lord Botetourt High School. This is just the first of many more commits to come for the NRV Tigers.
